AI and Audio Programmer

The Harbinger is a dark, atmospheric souls-like action game set in a cursed medieval fortress, where players must battle through twisted undead and unravel a tragic mystery.

The player assumes the role of Aldric, a former knight wrongfully punished and sent to the cursed Grimhold Keep. Once a stronghold of defense, the keep is now haunted by the undead. As Aldric ventures deeper into the keep, he must find a way to break the curse, free the trapped souls, and confront The Harbinger before succumbing to the darkness himself.

My Contributions:

Leading the implementation of enemy AI behaviors, including idle states, pathfinding, pursuit, and attack patterns.

Designing and integrating audio assets to create an immersive gameplay environment.

Collaborating with designers and programmers to ensure seamless interaction between AI and audio systems.

What I learned:

Working on The Harbinger taught me how to effectively design and implement complex AI behaviors in a collaborative environment. I deepened my understanding of Unity's AI tools and honed my ability to create dynamic enemy interactions, such as pathfinding, pursuit, and attack patterns. Additionally, integrating audio assets allowed me to explore how sound design enhances gameplay immersion and player experience. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team reinforced the importance of clear communication and iteration, ensuring that the AI and audio systems aligned seamlessly with the game’s overall design and vision.
